Each year we select and honor high school seniors who excel on the football field, in the classroom, and in the community. These seniors hail from all over Los Angeles County, and are honored at our annual banquet dinner. The applicants will be selected on the basis of their record for academic achievement, athletic achievement, leadership, and community service. The minimum requirements to be considered are that a senior be recognized as a first or second team All-League, All-City or All-CIF football player, maintain a cumulative 3.2 grade point average, and demonstrate leadership capacities both in and out of school in recognition of the importance of community service. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee selection as a scholar athlete rather it makes the candidate eligible for selection.

In addition, two Scholar Athletes will be selected to receive the LaDanian Tomlinson High School Athlete of the Year Award (a $2,500 scholarship each to one Football and one Flag Football high school senior student-athlete). Additionally, one senior will be selected to join the National Team of Distinction.
