BUDDY FARMER
Buddy is a graduate of the University of Alabama where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in 1968. While at Alabama he was a member of the football team and has the distinction of being the only playwright ever to play football for the legendary coach Bear Bryant. He is an active member of the Dramatist Guild of America and his plays have been produced to raise money for the California Special Olympics, the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Charitable Fund.
Buddy is a veteran of the United States Army and currently serves as a volunteer for Operation Gratitude whose work is to send care packages to United States military. He also has worked with the Laguna Beach Animal Shelter. Buddy has been the emcee of the banquet since 2003.
