Throughout his life George Kunz has succeeded in the classroom and beyond.  At Loyola High School in Los Angeles he was All-League and All-CIF and acknowledged as a scholar athlete for the Los Angeles Chapter.  He matriculated to the University of Notre Dame where he became starting tackle and was selected as both an All-American and Academic All-American.  He was the second player selected in the National Football League draft.  In ten seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and the Baltimore Colts he was a member of the All-Pro squad eight times.  Following his playing days George became an analyst for NBC Sports and later went into business as an operator for McDonald Franchises.

 

In 2006 he entered the Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, obtained his Juris Doctor degree and is now a member of the Nevada Bar.  In his college career he was selected to 12 different All-American teams and in addition to being a Cum Laude graduate and the Notre Dame Scholar Athlete of the Year, was a college National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame Scholar and NCAA scholarship award receipient and selected to the All-Time GTE Academic All-American team.  He is a two-time nominee for the College Football Hall of Fame.  In addition to his endeavors George has found time to participate in a host of civic activities.  George resides in Nevada and has been a member of the Los Angeles board since 2009.
